Yes it was the 1980s, but i have records from the 1970s that were remixed better, such as The Ring Savage Lover , The Brake Kat Mandu ect. Yes ill give them a break. But u give me a break too. I am allowed to have my own opinion, love lipps ink, love funky town.love Casablanca, but someone could have been a bit more creative. I was 14 yrs old with 2 ordinary record players and a small mixer. I was a child, and i did a better job.. And remember its about the music. Not personal.
Twelve inch single vinyl records are better for many reasons. They are often recorded at a louder better higher quality than album LP (long playing) versions. This is totally noticeable when I deejay. The grooves on the twelve inch singles are recorded and spaced farther apart then on the vinyl record full length album versions, so they tend to skip less easily. Records actually rarely skip compared to CD's that get scratched. Usually when I find that one of my records is skipping, it just needs to be cleaned well with some water, and then it is fine. CD's are much more fragile and the CD's that I own and have skipped way more often when I have been a deejay at dance clubs. Twelve inch vinyl singles often have longer versions of the songs you hear on the radio. Twelve inch vinyl singles often have remixes that you usually cannot find for sale in other places. Twelve inch vinyl singles often have what is known as a track song that is known as the B-side on the flip side of the record opposite of the main side and the B-side song is often a song that is not found or available on the full length album, so it is a rare song. Sometimes it could be a live version of a song for example. Twelve inch vinyl records are often more rare than the full length albums because so many people would prefer to buy the full length LP albums with like ten songs on them instead of just only the twelve inches which are usually songs that were released for radio play. Vinyl records are awesome for scratching with a quality deejay record player that is the type of record player that can be played backwards so that it is safe when scratching with the record player needle. I hope you know what I mean! You don't actually dent the record with scratches, you just push the record forwards and backwards fast so that the song sounds interesting and this is known as scratching even though you wouldn't be denting the vinyl records with surface scratches that are harmful. When deejaying, it is fun to use vinyl because you are able to touch the vinyl records with your fingers and it is like touching the music itself and the peoples' voices. You can also mix more than one record together at a time easier with records because of being able to actually touch them to slow them down and speed them up with your fingers when using two deejay record players and a deejay mixing board. They are often valuable because of all of these reasons that I have mentioned here. Sometimes even though the vinyl twelve inch records have less tracks than the full length album LP's, they are worth much more because there are usually far less of them made and they were usually only available for a short amount of time compared to the full length albums. Some twelve inch vinyl singles are worth way more than the full length CD's too. You may request to be my friend by looking up my deejay name of (deejay Thumpurr) and / or (ReflexShawn) on Facebook too. Questions?
