The Simple Vertical Stripes stitch is a striking slipped stitch pattern. While it can be intimidating to knit vertical stripes, the slipped stitches break the process into bite-sized pieces. This stitch would look wonderful on a hat.

Hi, I love this video but can I know which colour should I cast on first for the border? The first cast or the second? Thank you!
Will it be the same for three colours ?
when you're binding off, shouldn't intarsia rules apply? Bring up each new color from underneath? You'd think it would need to be at least consistent, in order to make a design along the top — either bring up each new color from underneath, or from the top. And usually, this is used as a cuff or hat brim, so it just continues on into some other stitch, like stockinette for instance, so a bind-off isn't a problem, which people might like to know.
I keep trying to follow your directive and download the stitches from your site. All they keep doing is demanding an email address, to put me on your mailing list. But I'm already on! And I don't want multiple copies of the newsletter. Help!
Excellent tutorial Thank you! Would be possible in the future to do a video on how to do the SimpleVertical Stripes Stitch in the round for left handed knitters.Thank you once again!
I would've like to see the back of the work as well, also if you were working on double point needles could you work both yarns across after each pass example two knit sides then two purl sides? Or does that just become a brioche style knit?
Yay! I'm so glad you guys are posting again. I've been waiting forever lol
awww haaaa! nice finish :)
