I agree with the previous comment. Artists who are singing Professionally for money should not do their own adaptations unless they preface it verbally or in print prior to singing it. Amy Grant's religious sentiments got in the way. I am a Christian but I think Amy Grant's strength has been in her religious music. She obviously thinks she might offend some Christians if she sings the original using the word "hell". So sad that she is swayed by her fans, Christian faith, popularity and her desire to sing this wonderful song. I also think she has a nice voice, but not excellant, just a personal preference I guess but see what you think. Listen to the full unaltered version by 3 people not afraid to sing the original version- Nancy Griffith, Glen Campbell with Jimmy Webb, and Jimmy Webb himself. I think Jesus would say singing the altered version without a preface to the version being an adaptation is a lie.
I watch this video over and over. No one sings it like Amy Grant does, and the video broke me up-has me in tears every time I listen and watch.. I would like to dedicate this song to my daughters-Nicci, Jordan, Shelby, Jade. I love you so much!
Amy is such a joy to hear sing. Beautiful voice, wonderful artist, strong message for those who choose to hear it!!!!! This is a great Song that Michael wrote. I remember Amy for Father's Eyes!!!!
Love this song. I used to sing this song with my ex husband years ago. He is gone now. Was a special time in my life. I miss those days. One of her best songs ever! Thank you Amy for touching my soul.
This song is just magical, the piano rings in my ear like heaven and Amy wow sings it just as she did on the album twenty years ago! Her soul is just beautiful!

Love this song, especially tonight, especially the line "Here's someone who really loves you, don't ever go away…."
"Ya know life just speeds by.
It's a good moment spent, reminiscing." – Amy Grant
